Dusan Tadic signs with NEC Nijmegen until 2028
Former Fenerbahçe SK star Dusan Tadic has signed a contract with Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen until the summer of 2028. The 37-year-old Serbian attacker, who joined Fenerbahçe in 2023, spent two seasons with the Turkish club before returning to Holland after three years.
Tadic’s career and his time at Fenerbahçe
Tadic enjoyed his most productive period at Ajax, scoring 105 goals and providing 112 assists in 241 appearances. During his two seasons with Fenerbahçe, he netted 29 goals and contributed 35 assists in 109 matches. After moving to Al-Wahda in 2025, Tadic is now back in European football with NEC Nijmegen.
NEC Nijmegen’s transfer strategy
NEC Nijmegen recently signed Emre Mor and now adds another former Fenerbahçe player to their squad. Ferdi Kadıoğlu, another ex-Fenerbahçe star, previously played for NEC Nijmegen. The club’s sporting development, coach Dick Schreuder’s tactical approach, and ambitions to compete in European competitions reportedly influenced Tadic’s decision.
Fenerbahçe’s 2025 season performance
Fenerbahçe SK finished second in the Süper Lig last season. The team secured 74 points with 21 wins, 11 draws, and 2 losses. Scoring 77 goals and conceding 37, they finished with a +40 goal difference, three points behind leaders Galatasaray. Vedat Muriqi is currently sidelined due to injury.
