Fenerbahçe SK has issued an official statement criticising broadcaster beIN SPORTS. The club objected to the broadcaster's selective coverage.
The club stated that its correspondent monitored the broadcasts and questioned the disparity in treatment. Fenerbahçe emphasised it is seeking a consistent broadcasting standard applied equally to all clubs. "Our demand is not for privilege, but for an equal broadcasting standard applied in the same way to every club," the club said.
It added, "We await the necessary explanation and corrections from beIN SPORTS management to ensure this standard is provided." The club warned it would consider suspending relations with the broadcaster if its demands are not met.
This development comes as Fenerbahçe sits 10th in the Süper Lig with 7 points from 5 matches. The team's form over the last five games reads win, draw, draw, win, loss. The Yellow Canaries' next fixture is away to 8th-placed Çaykur Rizespor on October 10. Fans can follow the team's league position and squad list.
