Fenerbahçe SK have denied rumours that football director Oğuz Çetin has been dismissed from his role. Club sources confirmed that Çetin will continue in his position.

Criticism had mounted against Çetin following a poor start to the Süper Lig season, with the team's bench strength and league position coming under scrutiny. After a 0-0 draw with Gaziantep FK, speculation emerged that a decision had been made to remove him and that Hasan Çetinkaya had been offered the job.

Club sources firmly rejected these claims. They stated, "Fenerbahçe currently has no such agenda." This declaration indicates the club's continued backing for Çetin's work during the transfer window and his broader responsibilities.

The team currently sits 11th in the league with 7 points from five matches, recording two wins, two draws and one loss in their last five outings. Their next fixture is at home against 17th-placed Eyüpspor in the Süper Lig's sixth round. The match will be played on Sunday, 20 September.
