Fenerbahçe SK has secured a two-year naming rights sponsorship agreement with Tarfin for its men's and women's basketball teams. The deal makes Tarfin the chest sponsor for both squads.
The signing ceremony took place at Chobani Stadı. Ömer Onan, the club's board member responsible for basketball branches, stated that Tarfin becomes the fourth naming sponsor in the history of the men's basketball team. Onan highlighted the club's stature in Europe. "Fenerbahçe is one of the most prestigious teams in Europe," he said. "So much so that former star basketball player Tony Parker, who now owns Asvel, said that among his future goals is to build a team like Fenerbahçe. The seeds for these days were planted back in the 2005-2006 years."
Volkan Akan, board member responsible for the women's basketball branch, emphasized that their aim is not to remember past glories but to relive them. "With this cooperation, our goal as Fenerbahçe Tarfin Women's Basketball Team will be to reach the summit in Turkey and Europe," Akan stated.
Ali Emre Ballı, Chairman of the Board of Tarfin, said the value of the two-season deal lies in the story they will tell together. "Fenerbahçe's development on the court overlaps with Tarfin's transformation," Ballı noted. He added, "Fenerbahçe's achievements and Tarfin's innovative approach in agricultural finance form the foundation of this partnership."
Men's team captain Melih Mahmutoğlu reported that pre-season preparations are going well. "You could say it's a new squad. We have 8 new players," Mahmutoğlu said. "They are all experienced enough and players who know Fenerbahçe very well. We finished last season as champions."
Women's team captain Alperi Onar added they are preparing to finish the season with five trophies. Onar said, "We are working very hard as a team. This sponsorship deal has become an extra source of motivation for us."
The ceremony concluded with a group photo and gift presentation.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe SK's football team continues its campaign in the Süper Lig. The side sits 11th in the table with 7 points from 5 matches. Its last five official results read DDLWW (most recent first). The next league fixture is away to 14th-placed Başakşehir on 6 December 2026.
